CITI BANK WORLD MONEY PLATINUM CARD |
Salient Features of Special Contingency Insurance - Fraud Protection cover for Citibank World Money Platinum Card Members
This insurance is available to the primary Citibank World Money Platinum Cardholder of Citibank against the following :

Fraud Protection: The New India Assurance Company Ltd will indemnify the Primary Card members only against the Financial loss sustained by the insured arising out of fraudulent utilisation of any lost or stolen Citibank World Money Platinum Card upto 96 hours prior and 48 hours post from reporting to Citibank such loss/theft. |

The maximum liability of the Company for any Primary Card Member throughout the Policy Period for any or all losses during one or more events shall not exceed Rs.50,000/- per Insured Person subject to a deduction of first Rs.1000/- per card per event. |
|
|
Period of Insurance : 90 days from the date of activation of Citibank World Money Platinum Card |
|
|
Cover is Worldwide. |
Important Exclusions
|
|
Losses sustained by the card members resulting directly or indirectly from any fraudulent or dishonest, acts committed by the card member’s employee and his/her family members, acting along or in collusion with others in respect of credit card operation. |
|
|
Losses resulting from any Citibank World Money Platinum card issued without the consent of the customer. However this exception will not apply in respect of replacement of World Money Platinum Card previously issued by the Citibank . |
|
|
Loss of interest, consequential loss, delay, loss of market. |
|
|
Losses arising out of use of genuine Citibank World Money Platinum card by any authorized person with intent to defraud the insured. |
|
|
Losses, which the insured can legally recover from the cardholders, any person or corporation agreeing to honour credit cards issued by the insured. |
|
|
Any claim arising out of any contractual liability. |
|
|
Loss arising out of Skimming (duplication of card during transaction) is excluded from the scope of cover. |
|
|
Loss arising out of Cash Transaction in ATM using the card is excluded. |
CLAIMS PROCEDURE
|
|
In the event of losing Citibank World Money Platinum card, Immediate intimation should be given to Citibank when the loss /misuse of the card comes to the knowledge of the insured. |
|
|
All efforts to be taken by Citibank to block the card immediately on information. |
|
|
Claim Form needs to be filled and sent to The New India Assurance Co.Ltd., Citibank DO 712500, Allied Mount Casa Blanca Building, II Floor, # 260, Anna Salai, Chennai 600 006 |

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED:

Notice of loss to the Company immediately by Citibank/Card member. |
|
|
Police Complaint / (F.I.R.)/ an acceptable complaint with local police |
|
|
duly acknowledged by the police of the country where the Card was lost/stolen. |
|
|
Claim form duly completed by the card member |
|
|
Proof of misuse of card like card statements, records, original receipt of the foreign currency loaded by money charger and any other related documents. |
