AN IMPORTANT AMENDMENT IN THE GOOD
HEALTH MEDICLAIM POLICY CLAUSE REGARDING
EXCLUSION OF PRE-EXISTING DISEASES
1. We are pleased to inform our customers that a new feature of 'COVERING PRE-EXISTING DISEASES" (P E D) under the scope of the policy has been introduced w.e.f .01.03.2008 subject to the conditions enumerated hereunder:
2. The PEDs will be covered under the scope of the policy AFTER FOUR CONTINUOUS POLICY PERIOD IN GOOD HEALTH MEDICLAIM POLICY only, provided there had been no hospitalisation involved for the treatment of the PED during the said four years of insurance cover under the Good Health Mediclaim Scheme.
3. During the first four years of the said policy period, such PEDs (whether declared or not) shall not be covered.
4. The extension of PED cover is effective from 01.03.2008 only and therefore any claim pertaining to the period prior to 01.03.2008 for PED will not be considered.
5. For the purpose of calculating four continuous policy period, the policy availed under the Good Health Mediclaim scheme (taken through Citi Financial Retail Service India Ltd) ONLY will be taken into account and NOT any other policy either with our Company or with any other insurance company.
6. The least sum insured of the previous 5 years Good Health Mediclaim Policy including current Good Health Mediclaim Policy will be applied for this PED cover..
7. There is no option to opt out of this benefit of PED cover.
8. The card membership with Citibank N.A is essential for continuance of this policy.
II REGARDING THE ID CARD
The Non-photo Id cards which were issued by M/s.TTK Healthcare TPA Ptd.Ltd., during the previous policy period are valid permanently as long as the Good Health Mediclaim Policy is renewed continuously.
